100th anniversary of the first South African airmail flight

On 7 oct 2011, South African Post issued a stampset with aircraft on stamps, aviation history, occasion of the anniversary 100th anniversary of the first South African airmail flight. The South African Post office will commemorate this historical flight with a miniature sheet which has odd shaped same as aircraft.

This set depicts the aircraft in flight in 1911, the first South African airmail flight between Kenilworth and Muizenberg. The Muizenberg Post-office is the first in South Africa has received an airmail.

Muizenberg Post Office are selling commemorative FDC with R8.10 of each.
